The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) is a national information clearinghouse and resource center for missing, unidentified, and unclaimed persons cases across the United States. Funded and administered by the National Institute of Justice and managed through a contract with RTI International, NamUs helps to bridge information gaps across jurisdictional lines, as well as provide analytical and forensic services to generate new leads. NamUs staff will provide a virtual live training that highlights the forensic and analytical tools available to help advance longterm missing and unidentified persons’ cases.This presentation is for law enforcement agents in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s newly-formed cold case unit.
