The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) is a national information clearinghouse and resource center for missing, unidentified, and unclaimed persons cases across the United States. Funded and administered by the National Institute of Justice and managed through a contract with RTI International, NamUs helps to bridge information gaps across jurisdictional lines, as well as provide analytical and forensic services to generate new leads. NamUs staff will provide a virtual live training that highlights the forensic and analytical tools available to help advance long-term missing and unidentified persons’ cases. This presentation is for investigative staff at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (Florida).
