May 5th is the United States’ National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Strong Hearted Native Women’s Coalition, Inc. is hosting a community event and ceremony that evening. They invited NamUs to be a part of their event including hosting a booth. Strong Hearted Native Women’s Coalition, Inc. strives to bring awareness to missing and murdered American Indian and Alaskan Native people in Southern California as well as provides resources for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex-trafficking. This event will continue to raise awareness for this important topic and provide resources to the community.
