As part of an ongoing Office of Justice Programs-led initiative, NamUs is next in line for Digital Identity and Access Management (DIAMD) integration! DIAMD is the Department of Justice’s secure user management system and uses multifactor authentication (MFA) to verify identity.
Security remains one of our top priorities. DIAMD will help maintain the integrity of the database by bolstering our security measures and ensuring that only appropriate individuals can view investigation-sensitive information. This process is just one of many ways that OJP is working to keep your investigations safe and provide the resources you need to move forward.
Over the next few weeks, the DIAMD team will be creating accounts for existing NamUs users. Once your account has been created, you will receive an invitation from [email protected] to activate your account. Be on the lookout for this email to ensure a seamless transition. Please note that DIAMD integration will not affect your sponsorship status. The sponsorship process with NamUs will remain the same.
New NamUs users will be prompted to create a DIAMD account during the registration process.
